A Biblical offense was one that would cause people to stumble into sin. The admonition is stern. But then Jesus turns attention to the one so offended and gives them a warning as well. Watch yourselves. And then He gives instruction that is often neglected. "If your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him. • A WATCHFUL PEOPLE  By : Willetta Pilcher
Just as Jesus was promised in the beginning and He came as that tiny baby in a lowly manger so Jesus will come again. I know it has been a long time since He promised... nearly 2000 years. But when God promised Jesus in the beginning (Gen 3:15) it was nearly 4000 years before it became reality. But reality it was. God’s time table is not like our own. How are those statements a sacrifice of praise to God? They aren’t generally speaking. They are the elevation of one’s own opinion as to what is good and right. We all are guilty ...

  • Greatest in the Kingdom  By : Glenn Washburn
Kingdom service is costly service. But it is in that sacrifice that we identify with our Lord. Jesus spent most of His time with the poor, the blind, the lame, the leper, the persecuted, the downtrodden, the possessed, the heavy laden, the rabble, the law-breaker, the little ones…the least, the last and the lost sheep of the house of Israel. The economic condition, in America, is declining. Many people, Christians and non-Christians, are apprehensive about the future, some are already in financial trouble. Many Christian leaders are trying to help Christians handle the situation. I have heard them encourage the people to have faith that God will provide. I have heard them teaching people how to handle money, debts, and spending, but what seems to be missing is the mind of Christ on the subject. Here in Lk: 12, we can learn the rest of the instructions for Christians in financial jeopardy.

  • Fruit of the Spirit of God  By : Ron E. Matteson
I urge you to affirm LOVE for someone by showing it in your true actions. Make yourself an example to all the believers in your speech, your behavior, your LOVE, your faith, and your purity. If I do works of Spiritual communication, speaking in tongues, and have no works of LOVE, then I am no more effective than lots of noise. If I accomplish works of prophecy and know every hidden truth, and have faith strong enough to move mountains, I have nothing if I have no works of LOVE. I may give all I have to the poor or even offer myself as a sacrifice to the Lord, but if I have no works of LOVE, there will be no profit in my doing these works.

I will be with them in time of trouble, while rescuing them, and I will satisfy those who love Me by giving them a long life, as to enjoy the fullness of My salvation." As I reflected upon it, and took note of what I saw; I learned this lesson, a little sleepy, a little lazy, a little folding of the arms as to take life more easily and like a wanderer, poverty is at my side, and like a bum, I am lacking necessary things.

  • Those who follow God  By : Ron E. Matteson
God spoke to me like this, with a strong hand as to turn me from walking in the path that some of God’s people take. “Do not call conspiracy everything that these people call conspiracy, do not fear everything that they fear, do not be afraid of them. You must consider God as holy, fear God, for God you must dread. God is the sanctuary for both houses of Israel, a stone to strike, and a rock to stumble over. God said, “I shall measure the Christian, not by what they have to say, but by their Spiritual power as given by Me. The Kingdom of God is not just talk,” it is power. That heir is under the control of guardians and administrators, until reaching (spiritual) maturity, as determined by God, the Father
  • Do not seek your own glory  By : Ron E. Matteson
Everyone who has heard, and learned, from the Father, has come to Me, and no one has seen the Father, except the One who has come from God. • Holiness and the Christian  By : Ron E. Matteson
Christ bore our sins in His body, on the cross, that we might die to sin, and live in holiness. By way of Christ’s wounds, we are healed. You know that you must obey God, your master, for a sinful behavior life style results in death, and a holy behavior life style results in eternal life in glory. Having been Freed from sin, you are now a slave to God, and you are now positioned on a path of being sanctified, made holy, and the path ends in eternal life in glory.
