Lessons from the Life of Gideon 9:No Neutral Ground
By :
Surefoot
Considering the gracious leading and patience Gideon had received from God while in preparation for the great battle, it might seem ironic that Gideon would threaten (and carry out) such severe punishments on the residents of Succoth and Penuel.
Words from the mouth of Jesus Christ, Son of God
By :
Ron E. Matteson
This entire writing contains Biblical passages which are only from the mouth of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Here is the message of the holy and faithful one who holds the key of David and when He opens, nobody can close and when He closes, nobody can open. Jesus said, “You are the people that I love because you have kept my commandments to patiently endure trials. I will also keep you from the hour of trial that is going to come upon the whole world to test those who live on the earth. I am coming soon, so hold on to what you have and no one will take your crown. To those who overcome, I will make a pillar in the temple of My God, and never again will the successful leave the temple. I will write on the successful the name of my God, and the name of the city of My God, the New Jerusalem, which is coming down out of heaven from My God; and I will also write My new name on the successful, Revelation 3.7, 10-13

The Grace of God - What Exactly Is It?
By :
Greg Baker
It is curious to me that one of the most significant aspects of God is largely misunderstood and, if I may, misused. Not that the typical definitions of grace are in any way demeaning of God, they aren't. But as far as application of grace to our own life, the typical definitions remain somewhat elusive.

Is The Sabbath Saturday Or Sunday?
By :
Dr. Lee Miller
The Sabbath is the Hebrew weekly day of rest and for worship, which was observed on the seventh day of each week, which begins at sundown on Fiday and ending at sundown on Saturday. The Hebrew Sabbath has continued to be practiced by non-Christian Jews up to this day. The Lord's blessing and sanctification of the seventh day is understood to mean that God intended one day in seven is to be observed by everyone as a sacred day of rest and worship. But the question being considered is: What day is the Sabbath?

The Book of Revelation has four main schools of interpretation. What is the meaning of all the symbolism that is found in this part of the Bible? What was the author really writing about? In this article, each of the four viewpoints will be addressed to explain what each one really believes.
Who Were The Sons Of God In Genesis 6?
By :
Dr. Lee Miller
The question as to who were the sons of God in Genesis 6 has often been considered. And as in any issue when it comes to the Bible, Genesis 6 has many different interpretations. This article considers the possible meaning of Genesis 6 of who the sons of God could of been and who they definitely were not.
Walking By the Spirit - Gal:5 & 6
By :
Sylvia Huffnagle
An expository of Galatians chapters 5 & 6
Summary: Gal:5:16-18: This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. 17: For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. 18: But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.
God Heareth Not Sinners
By :
Sylvia Huffnagle
The Bible has a different strategy than modern Christianity for converting the wicked. Today’s witnesses urge everyone to pray to God for help, yet the Bible clearly says: The LORD is far from the wicked: but he heareth the prayer of the righteous. Prov: 15:29, Jn: 9:31, Ps: 66:18-20

Be Ye Transformed
By :
Sylvia Huffnagle
How can one be transformed? By the renewing of your mind. This is very important. So many confessing Christians are not renewing their mind with the written Word of God which is to be quickened unto them by the Holy Spirit. (1Jn: 2:27-29) By neglecting this duty these confessing Christians are rocking the boat. They are the cause of disunity in the body and they are the cause of ineffectiveness of the body. I will show you what I mean.

Some comments about Christian writings
By :
Ron E. Matteson
We must never use the Spirit of God the Father to add to or take away words from God the Father’s Spiritual words of mouth, while using words like, “we must no longer worship God the Father by use of His Spiritual law, but worship in the Spirit of God.” It would be more appropriate to say, “the Spirit of God the Father, like Jesus Christ, follows God the Father’s Spiritual law and speaks as God the Father would speak, so we must worship God the Father through God the Father’s Spirit, since God the Father is Spirit” Neither Jesus Christ, nor the Spirit of God would do anything to cause division in the Godhead.
Receiving a spiritual nature
By :
Ron E. Matteson
If by the help of the Spirit of God, you put to death the evil works of unspiritual human nature, then you will live. Anyone who is influenced by the spirit of God, is a child of God. When you belong to Christ, you have crucified sinful unspiritual human nature, and its sinful passions and desires. If you are guided by the Spirit of God, you have plenty of faith as to be put in a position to live in Christ/God, the Father, without your belief that you are successful in carrying out God's law.

A Rule In Understanding Scripture
By :
The Parson
When reading the bible, there is a rule that I have followed for years. That rule is if the scripture says something plainly, take it for what it says. Sounds simplistic, now doesn't it? Well, actually it is.
The word "truth," as found in the Holy Bible
By :
Ron E. Matteson
I am aware of your faithfulness to the TRUTH, and of your life in the TRUTH, and it is my extreme joy to hear that you are living according to the TRUTH.
In the sight of God we openly declare the TRUTH, and this is how we seek approval from others conscience.
Gifts from God's Spirit
By :
Ron E. Matteson
A veil separated the chief priest from the holy place in which God resides, and the chief priest could not enter the veil when God was present, or the priest would die.The spirit of God discloses that a way of entry for us, through the veil, was not yet available under old covenant rules. Jesus Christ has now penetrated the inner veil for our continual entry into spiritual union with God.
Romans 6-8
By :
Sylvia Huffnagle
To magnify this scripture: So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. 9: But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. 10: And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
Extending God's true heavenly word, the Holy Bible
By :
Ron E. Matteson
. These records affirm that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and in believing this, you may have eternal life in glory, through Christ’s name. God has given us the things that we need for eternal life in glory, and true worship, bringing us to know God who has called us by God’s own glory, and excellence.
Inspirations from God's Spirit
By :
Ron E. Matteson
One who knows, and obeys, the commandments, is the one who loves Jesus, and the one who loves Jesus is the one who shall be loved by God, the Father, and this is the one who will receive God’s Spirit. When we keep God’s commandments, we live in God, and God lives in us, in union.

Righteous Christians as Spiritual Stones of God's house.
By :
Ron E. Matteson
You are members of God’s household, being built on a foundation of apostles, and prophets, with Jesus Christ as the chief corner stone. You are joined, and aligned, on Christ, and rise to become a holy temple in the Lord, where God Lives, in Spirit. All of you, as a spiritual stones, form a priest hood, and offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to The Father, through Jesus Christ.
God's Univesal Invisible Church
By :
Ron E. Matteson
By obedience to the truth, you have purified your spirit to sincerely love other Christians, so love one another with a pure spirit. You have been born again from above, not from perishable seed, but from imperishable seed due to the everlasting word of the loving and eternal God. The word of God remains forever and is in your possession. Christians, by God’s mercy, I urge you to offer your living bodies as a holy sacrifice, which will please God. This sacrifice is a spiritual nature type
Some Quotations from the Holy Bible
By :
Ron E. Matteson
Through Jesus Christ, those worshipers who were far apart from God the Father/Christ, are brought into Spiritual union by the cross and blood of Christ. Christ is the peace between all worshipers, since He removed a barrier of hostility caused by rules and decrees. Christ, through the cross, created one Spiritual body to restore peace and allow for Spiritual union with God, the Father. This was to unite all worshipers into a single Spiritual body and place them into union with God, the Father. After Christ killed the hostility, He brought good news of peace to both Jews and non Jews
SHALL I CALL THINGS THAT ARE NOT AS IF IT WERE?

The Wicked and the Righteous
By :
Sylvia Huffnagle
I find this exposé necessary because today it is hard to tell the Christian from the non-Christian and according to the Bible, that ought not be.
God wants there to be a distinction and the Bible verses quoted in this article make a distinction.
Christian in Name Only
By :
Terry L. Brown
The congregants in the Laodicean church saw themselves as rich and prosperous, in need of nothing. But Jesus refutes that saying "you are wretched, pitiable, poor, blind, and naked" (Revelation 3:17). The Laodiceans went to church, but their works were only lukewarm. They were half-hearted in what they did. They called themselves Christians, but Jesus revealed that they were Chrisitans in name only.
The Angel Of God That Christians Serve
By :
Hannah Henderson
Who is this one angel of God that every Christian should be able to distinguish from the others in scripture? Why is he unique? How does identification of him lead to identification of the other angels of God?
The Woman Jezebel
By :
Terry L. Brown
There are two women named Jezebel mentioned in the Bible. In the Old Testament she was the wife of King Ahab. She was a wicked woman who worshipped Baal and caused the Israelites to fall further from the truth worship of the Lord. In the New Testament she is mentioned in connection with the church at Thyatira. But was she just a woman who was teaching false doctrine? I believe what Jesus is teaching us goes much deeper than that. Jezebel is alive and well today.

His cleverness in elusiveness
By :
March M. Villareal
When we look at scripture, one of the things you see almost immediately, or shortly thereafter, is that the big picture is not that easy to grasp. There is no one concise chapter on forgiveness or righteousness. There is no one complete book about salvation, God’s character, or any of the major subjects that are supposed to be essential to building faith. Why is that?

Exodus 14 and 15

My dear, let us take a careful studying of Exodus 14&15.
We begin with Exodus 14:1-4:
1 Then the LORD said to Moses, 2 "Tell the Israelites to turn back and encamp near Pi Hahiroth, between Migdol and the sea. They are to encamp by the sea, directly opposite Baal Zephon. 3 Pharaoh will think, 'The Israelites are wandering around the land in confusion, hemmed in by the desert.' 4 And I will harden Pharaoh's heart, and he will pursue them. But I will gain glory for myself through Pharaoh and all

A Marriage Made in Hell
By :
Terry L. Brown
When Jesus addresses the church at Pergamum in the book of Revelation He describes Himself as "the One who has the sharp two-edged sword". This sword, which is the Word of God, is spoken of in Hebrews 4:12 as being used to divide things: spirit and soul, and joints and marrow. Perhaps the reason Jesus identifies Himself in this way is because the church at Pergamum had "married" the world. She was no longer the bride of Christ.
Uncircumcised Ears - Jer. 6 (3rd in Endtimes Series)
By :
Sylvia Huffnagle
The people could not hear God's warnings because their ears were uncircumcised. In order to hear what God is saying, a person must humble themselves and repent of their ways and turn to God’s ways. They must receive God as their Father and Jesus as their Lord. They must reckon on themselves crucified with Christ and resurrected Christ living within.
The Path of Victory
By :
Terry L. Brown
Some believe that once they become a Christian life becomes the proverbial rose garden. They are surprised and sometimes angry when that delusion is exposed by the reality of life they daily encounter. The truth is life can become more difficult. Christians who actively live out their faith can find themselves the subject of persecution and slander - even by those who call themselves "Christian". The Believers in Smyrna faced intense persecution, but the overcomers received the crown of life.
The Lord's Remnant
By :
Terry L. Brown
False worship, false prophets, and false teachers have plagued God's people from the beginning. It is no less true today. Some churches and demoninations are being overcome by the sins of the world. Abortion is accepted; homosexuality is advocated to the degree that offices within some demoninations are occupied by openly practicing homosexuals; divorce is rampant; and entertainment choices between believers and unbelievers are insignificant. But the Lord still has His remnant.
The Authority of Jesus Christ!
By :
Shaila D Touchton

Defeating the Darkness of the world!
By :
Shaila D Touchton
Satan was like "a strong man." Yet Jesus claimed to be much stronger. He claimed to defeat Satan, and to take whatever He wanted from Satan (Matthew 12:22-29). How did Jesus prove this claim? By publicly defeating the forces of Satan! He could do this because "demons" - the evil spirits who serve Satan - were working in a very bold and open way. (Compared with the Old Testament, the New Testament shows much more visible activity from the demons.) Demons even forced themselves into some people. They caused much harm to those in whom they lived.
The Value of Pain
By :
Terry L. Brown
If one could not feel pain would it be a blessing or a curse? It would be a curse. Of the five senses we have only touch is necessary for life. Without the ability to feel we are in danger of dying. This is true spiritually also. The pain within our hearts compels us to find relief. Pain does have value.

Being Light in a Fallen World
By :
Terry L. Brown
The first element the Lord created when He fashioned the world was light, not the light of the sun, but the light of His presence (the sun wasn't created until later). In the same way the re-creation of fallen man begins with light. Jesus, the Son, came as a light to the world and in turn created within us, upon acceptance of Him as Lord and Savior, that light. The life of the Christian is to be one of radiating the light of the Son.
Circumcision of the Heart
By :
Sylvia Huffnagle
The only way to trust and obey God is to cut off the flesh—be circumcised. A person has to be spiritually circumcised to take advantage of the New Covenant. It was submission to their lower nature that killed Adam and Eve and it takes submission to God to have eternal life.

Choose Life or Death
By :

The Apostle Peter Wrongly Accused Of Racism
By :
Hannah Henderson
The pastor of a church once taught his congregation that the apostle Peter had to be corrected by the Lord on his racial prejudices. This Christian leader's aim was to demonstrate, by scripture, that even the closest servants of God may have serious faults that they have to overcome. His presentation of the scriptures to teach what sounded like a truth, only presented an opinion that lacked biblical support.
Spiritual Warfare, Fact Or Fiction?
By :
Hannah Henderson
The sixth chapter of Ephesians speaks of spiritual warfare between good and evil. The apostle Paul addresses the servants of God saying,..."we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore, take unto you the whole armour of God..."(KJV, Ephesians 6:12-13).

Adam, Where Are You
By :
Terry L. Brown
After Adam and Eve had eaten of the forbidden fruit they made fig leaves to cover their nakedness. Yet, when God came walking in the Garden in the cool of the day He called out, "Adam, where are you?" Why would He do that? Didn't He know where Adam was? And why did Adam and Eve attempt to hide from God since they had made clothes for themselves from fig leaves? See how the answers to these questions apple to us today.
