My childhood was a nightmare of physical, emotional and sexual abuse. As a result, I built a very sturdy wall around my heart. I have only loved two women in my life; the first, Robin, put a crack in that wall. The second, Ellen, knocked that wall down. This is a tribute and an apology to the first.

- Sharing The Love Of Christ (for The Socially Impaired)
By:-Glenn Washburn
Recently, I was having lunch with a friend of mine. “I have such a hard time sharing the love of Christ with people,” he said. “I can’t seem to find the time And I don’t know what to say, when to say it or even how to say it!” I have been pondering his statement ever since that day. And trying to find the answer to the question it begs: How difficult is it really to share the love of Christ?
- Can You Imagine
By:-Ryan Lane
Song of Solomon 2:7 (The Message)
Don’t excite love, don’t stir it up,
until the time is ripe—and you’re ready.
What would poetry be, without Love , so it seems appropriate to start off with a poem about the subject that seems to be on most young people’s minds: LOVE! There’s a saying that “At the touch of love everyone becomes a poet”.
I find poetry can act like a diary; it is a record of how you felt at the time you wrote it. I wrote this when I was 14, and was trying to understand my own emotions and feelings at that time. Some would say that at 14, you are too young to LOVE. But being 14 is not too young to get your heart broken !
When we are young we want everything now and it seems an eternity waiting for certain things in our lives. Back then at 14 I thought I wanted a relationship, but I found the pursuit of a relationship meant that it distracted me from the things like my studies and the things God had for me. My grades were going down at school, I was on MSN and Facebook too much, and I felt God tell me this was wrong.
This poem is kind of like my prayer to God because I’m telling him how I feel. It is written with all my emotions like frustration, anger, happiness and peace. When you read it, imagine yourself just telling God how you are feeling, with all the emotions that go with it.
I consider this poem the best that I have written. But it cost me the most emotionally to write and it costs me a lot to publish it, as it is very personal.
I decided to not pursue a girlfriend at that time, and I would never have guessed that within a year of doing this, I would be given the opportunity to have my poetry published and my grades would have improved so much. It’s all about waiting until the time is right, enjoy.
- God Forgives You, Do You Forgive Others?
By:-Lisa Beattie
Is there someone you haven't forgiven? Reference to Matthew 18:21-22: Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, “Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother or sister who sins against me? Up to seven times?” Jesus answered, “I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times."
- A Band Of Brothers
By:-Glenn Washburn
Brotherly love is an amazing thing. It is taught by God and it comes directly from His heart to ours. When we love our brothers we display the proof that God abides in our hearts. When we love our brothers, God actually perfects that love through our loving. When we sincerely love our brothers we purify our souls.

- Divorce - The Pain
By:-Nellie Shani
As her mother went to the kitchen to prepare her dinner, little fifteen month- old Sharon, holding tightly onto her lilac- colored baby blanket that was dragging on the floor, walked with unsteady legs towards the sofa. She stopped briefly to look at the reflection of her face on the glass coffee table in the middle of the living room, before continuing her journey. Her facial expression gave no indication of what she thought of her own image.
- Opinions
By:-Willetta Pilcher
Opinions are the view somebody takes about an issue, especially when it is based solely on personal judgment. Opinions are not necessarily right or wrong regardless of how firmly they are held. Why then are other people offended by the opinion of another?

- THAT UNRULY CRITICAL SPIRIT
By:-Willetta Pilcher
Has it ever invaded your life or someone you love? Personally, I don ' t think anyone has ever been totally immune but there are those who seem to thrive on it. I ' m not talking about the occasional criticism that is justifiably needed although I suppose that most everyone seems to think their criticism is justifiable. That is why it seems to stick around so well.

- The True Measure Of Grace
By:-NORMA KLINGLER
There is a place in Scripture where the sinning brother needs to be confronted, but we are warned it is not wise to do it on our own. This is a task for the church as a body to seek the truth, and help in the restoration of the sinning brother. The key word here is restoration, not accusation or condemnation. We want to gently help him/her see what you see: the behavior that dishonors God, himself, and the church as a whole. The hope is for his repentance and restoration to God and each other.
- Defining A Good Relationship With Our Children
By:-Jason Del Giudice
I believe to have a good relationship with our children we must be parents that show by example. What are we showing our children? Do we talk a lot and not do what we say ourselves? Parents have duties and responsibilities just like children have duties and responsibilities. It’s a fact that if we shuck our responsibilities we will pay for it with rebellious children and a “not so very good” relationship with them.
