You may be thinking, I am not good enough for the Father to use me.

By: Sonia Taylor

You may be thinking, I am not good enough for the Father to use me. Wrong! The Scriptures are filled with examples of weak and flawed people whom the Lord used to achieve His purposes. He is looking, not for perfection, but for individuals willing to believe Him and work for Him and with Him. He not only works through people of faith; He transforms them. Each day ' s situations and needs are opportunities to trust Him and work for Him. Spread the Gospel wherever you go!

All our labor is important. God uses men and women (sinful, forgiven men and women) to sow and reap. And we are always entering into the labor of another, especially Jesus’. His labor is always decisive. Especially the labor of the cross. This was his main food. My food is to accomplish the work God gave me to do. And with the cross in view, where he died for our sins, he said, “Father, I glorified you on earth, having accomplished the work that you gave me to do” (John 17:4). Think of this amazing reality. Christ came into the world from heaven with a mission to accomplish. In a similar way, Christians are also sent from heaven ("born from above") and given an earthly mission to accomplish. God ' s mission for us is, at least in part, one of displaying our peculiarity. We are called to be different than everyone else. And the way that is done is through faith—believing and acting on what God has said regardless of the way the rest of society goes.

What are you wearing today? Not on your physical body, but what ' s covering your mind and emotions? Is Jesus First in your life? Are you working for Him? Throughout life, our heavenly Father provides each of us with so many big and small ways to honor Him.

Go ahead: Work for God. You ' ll be amazed at how much more energy you ' ll have, and how much easier life will be. Once you make the choice to work for God, your hardest days become your easiest. You don ' t have to let fear limit your vision when God is your source, because His supply is unlimited! One idea from Him, just one, can change your life and the lives of others. He ' s got great things in store for you today - so start thinking outside the box!

Thank Him for the opportunities today has to offer. Thank Him for the beautiful sunrise. When you wear that garment of praise, you ' ll stand strong and display His splendor all the days of your life!

Christ calls us to take risks for kingdom purposes. To every timid saint, wavering on the edge of some dangerous gospel venture, he says, "Fear not, you can only be killed" (Luke 12:4). Yes, by all means maximize your joy! How? For the sake of love, risk being reviled and persecuted and lied about, "for your reward is great in heaven" (Matthew 5:11-12). With staggering promises of everlasting joy, Jesus unleashed a movement of radical, loving risk-takers. "You will be delivered up even by parents . . . and some of you they will put to death" (Luke 21:16). Only some. Which means it might be you and it might not.
