The Power Within You

By: Gene Keys

2 Chronicles 32:7
(New International Version)

"Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or discouraged because of the king of Assyria and the vast army with him, for there is a
greater power with us than with him."

There are times in our walk with God that you are......done! You feel zapped; drained, like you have nothing left to give! Tired not only of the things and ways of the world, but everything! I mean, in this daily struggle with sin, you try and cry and then try again. You reach out for God and feel like He's not answering or even listening! Where is He? Why can't I hear Him? You know, when I started this journey I heard many things, but never "From now on, your life will be easy!"

Our walk was not designed to be easy. There will be times where you feel like God is no where to be found (Matthew 27:46). Glory be to God that He is ALWAYS around regardless of what we are presently feeling. We are not separated from His infinite grace and enduring mercy, for we are awakened by the stroke of His hand everyday! Saints, we are in training. This place is our training ground. Is God not a Father that he should teach us His ways? Just like a child learning to ride a bike, at some point mommy or daddy have to let go so you can learn to keep your balance! In the same way, God is proving us; qualifying us for the day in which He called us . We do not want to unprepared for our time!

In the words of my brother in the faith, Shopharim, God will make sure that before he blesses you with a great responsibility, that your environment is ready to sustain it.

With all of this being said, our days may not always be filled with contentment and can be very stressful. God is omnipresent but is not so big that He will not come down to save or comfort you when you fall. It is from this, and because we know that the Word which is in us, is also the power within us! We have power over the enemy and our circumstances. We draw our strength daily from the Most High One .

Grace and Peace from God and His Son Jesus the Christ.
