She moves through my days like a soft summer wind. Sadness flees at the sight of her smile And pain at the gentleness of her touch. When she speaks angels stop to listen; And when she laughs they dance with joy At the sound of her voice. Every birth is a miracle; A promise from God That He has not yet given up on man. But your birth is my miracle; God’s declaration That He deems me worthy to receive so precious a gift. It is His faith that I will love you With all that the heart of Christ can offer; That I will care for you with all the wisdom That the Spirit of Christ can bestow And that I will honor you with all the honor That such a priceless pearl would merit. So, come and smile for me, my love And chase the sadness away. Come and touch me and vanquish my pain. Let me hear you laugh so that I may dance with the angels. Come let us celebrate your birth together: The birth of a miracle!
