Inextricable Pairing of Inevitable Realities

By: Felix Amiri

Whether or not we are aware of this fact, every one of us is affected by the inevitable realities that exist in somewhat of an inextricable yet diametrically opposed pairing. Elsewhere in my writings, I have called this the “eternal antithesis”: Here is a brief listing of the paired realities:

- Light & Darkness
- Good & Evil
- Godliness & Godlessness
- Wisdom & Foolishness
- Righteousness & Unrighteousness
- Obedience & Disobedience
- Hope & Hopelessness
- Life & Death
- Heaven & Hell
- …. and more pairings that I think you could come up with …

Before it is hastily concluded that this suggestion about the existence of antithetical realities is just a mind game, it is not. It is biblical and it has very practical implications for everyone.

First of all, read:

Hab 1:13
{Your} eyes are too pure to approve evil, and You cannot look on wickedness {with favor.}

2 Cor 6:15 & 16
Or what harmony has Christ with Belial, or what has a believer in common with an unbeliever?
Or what agreement has the temple of God with idols?

Gal 5:17
For the flesh sets its desire against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are in opposition to one another, so that you may not do the things that you please.

1 Tim 6:16
“…who alone possesses immortality and dwells in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see. To Him {be} honor and eternal dominion! Amen.”

1 John 1:5
This is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you, that God is Light, and in Him there is no darkness at all.

You probably already know that in the antithetical pairing of realities, only the positive realities flow from God as the ULTIMATE SOURCE. It is needless to say that the negative realities do not have a source or sources. Nevertheless, all realities (positive or negative) have the same ULTIMATE CAUSE – God.

The question really is how does God – the ULTIMATE CAUSE of all things - cause the negative realities? This question is explored in more detail in the book Vital Truth & Precepts. For the sake of brevity here, I’ll just give you a hint: It has to do with the DELIBERATE presence or withdrawal of the ULTIMATE SOURCE of the positive realities. This is in much more profound terms and at a much more transcendent realm than a simple physical presence or withdrawal (or metaphysical presence or withdrawal if you wish).

From this understanding, there are practical implications for us to consider with regards to our everyday living and walk. These practical implications have to do with our indulgences and the inevitable expectations and consequences regarding the deliberate presence or withdrawal of the ULTIMATE SOURCE of all positive realities.

Someone might say “I don’t care!” This is up to them but it will not be without the due consequences.

From the perspective of the ULTIMATE CAUSE, the deliberate withdrawal of the ULTIMATE SOURCE of all positive realities is the inevitable ULTIMATE CAUSE of the negative realities.

Is this a tongue twister? It really is not. Try it again if you did not get it the first time around.

ALL realities (positive or negative) are inextricably linked to the inevitable self-existence of God.

You might already be connecting the dotted lines as it relates to your life. Is and can God be present with the one who indulges in what displeases Him?

God is the ULTIMATE SOURCE of ALL and ONLY POSITIVE realities. Wherever and whomever He withdraws from unavoidably faces only the negative realities that are inevitably caused by His withdrawal. There is no neutral place to hide. An “ostrich’s head in the sand” syndrome may cause some people to snicker at this. This is only for a little while my dear friend… only for a little while. The wise person would take heed and flee to God.
