And say to Archippus, Take Heed to the ministry which thou hast received in the Lord, that thou fulfill it. Colossians 4:17 KJV Amen! Everybody has been called to preach the gospel or function in any capacity in the church/ministry. It is needed for us to know the purpose of our calling and running towards the fulfillment of it. The Bible says 'Archippus, I say to you, take heed to the ministry I have delivered to you, that thou fulfill it. To take Heed means to pay attention to advice, to give serious attention to a warning or advice and to take it into account when acting. For you to fulfill your earthly ministry there is a place of paying attention to the instruction God gave us based on your calling. Fulfillment of ministry is not based on self definition before inline with the caller. In taken Heed to ministry, the only ministry that can be fulfill is the ministry that was delivered/received of the Lord not a ministry that was pre-conceived or to meet a pressing need/demand. In fulfilling your earthly ministry, it is important to ask ourselves these questions: • Am I called? • As a ministry been delivered unto me? • What instruction was I given based on my calling? Fulfilling our earthly ministry should be the priority of every Christian. The principles or keys to fulfilling your earthly ministry are: • Law of Total Abandonment. • Law of Total Dependence. • Law of Mentorship. • Law of Divine Commandment. • Law of Focus. Law of Total Abandonment In fulfilling our earthly ministry, there is a place of giving our ALL to Christ Jesus. Have you left ALL to follow the course of His kingdom? Simeon Peter said in Luke 18:28, Lo, we have left all, and followed thee. We have to left all and follow the master, through the course that was set before us. Law of Total Dependence Depending solely on the caller, for faithful is He who has called us..., when you gave your all to Christ Jesus He takes over. Your ministry can only be fulfilled when you solely depend on God the Holy Spirit, the caller. Law of Mentorship It is very important to have a mentor. Someone who guilds, advices and look after one in ministry. A mentor is an older, more experienced minister, who guild our pathway to the fulfillment of our ministry. Elisha was mentored, the Apostles were mentored. C'mon get a mentor. Law of Divine Commandment Are you called? God never leaves the man He calls, He never cat away. There is a force of divine commandment that backs your calling and to watch us through only if we yield ourselves to it. Law of Focus And key that will help us in fulfilling our earthly ministry is being focus. Many young ministers today have lost their ministry because of lack of focus. It is very important for us to be focus to what we are called to do without any deviation. My desire in life and burden I carry is to young ministers might fulfill there calling in the ministry that has been delivered unto them.
