Is Bullying Ever Acceptable?

Author : Mark Crossley   Top Author

Christian Articles Resource Cross When we think of bullying we perceive this to affect young children like
Jamie Bulger back in 2000. At age 16 most children enjoy the prospect of leaving bulling behind them.

Sadly many don’t, and bullying extends into adulthood as people are trapped into jobs they cannot afford to escape and environments people are too afraid and powerless to change.

Why do people bully?. Often the reason people bully is because of their own insecurity, lack of self confidence, apparent over status or someone weaker or less able than themselves in order to boast their own ego making victims do something they didn’t want to do in the first place. This could be drinking alcohol, taking drugs, or to have the right look / image. Sadly people encounter this as young as 13 if not younger these days which is very sad indeed.

What are the factors of a bully? Bullies generally have behavioural problems, poor social skills, or have a positive attitude towards violence. If you are a bully could you actions lead to somebody to think about committing suicide or even doing it because of your behaviour? I hope this thought may bring it home to you or an acquaintance to change your ways immediately.

What is the solution? Certainly praying is a start, in Jeremiah 8, God says “Don’t be afraid of anyone because I am with you to protect you”, isn’t this comforting.

We still have to be guided by God take practical steps to prevent this happening You can either put up with it or take the necessary action, perhaps your actions could prevent other people from encountering what you have gone through – what have you got to gain?

There are four basic types of bullying which are verbal, physical, emotional and sexual harassment that bullies enforce upon their victims. Are you someone who has bullied it and regret it or is being bullied and encounter the above types if so what has been the outcome of your situation? Verbal abuse can often be more hurtful and damaging than any cut or bruise.

No matter what no one can make you inferior without your consent. God made us all equal and most important God himself values us so highly that he sent his one and only Son to die for us – to encounter bullying?

So be transformed by the renewing of your mind and new attitude of Jesus Christ and in Him bullying can be beaten and you can be healed of the hurt caused and be forgiven. Think about it!.
