Do You Want To Become A Christian? Another Perspective

Author : Mark Crossley   Top Author

Christian Articles Resource Cross John 14 v 6 says “I am the way, the truth and the life and no-one comes to the father except through him”. Many people have the wrong perception of what a Christian really means. You can go to church all your life, be baptised or christened as a child, know someone who goes to church or generally help children out.

Accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour is a personal thing. It is a change of heart, sow the seed is sown and you realise that he is the only way in life and the desire to follow his footsteps, become stronger and this is the kind of life to which you have been invited.

The bible says that all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God but believers accept he took the punishment for our sins on the cross and therefore he has dealt with our sin.

Committing our lives to Jesus Christ brings God’s forgiveness and new life, in the spiritual walk a new life begins when someone commits their life to Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit offers us the new life and therefore we are ‘born again’.

As you develop a personal relationship with God every aspect of your life changes. It takes time but you realise the kind of life you have been invited to have a plan marked out for you. All you have to do is trust and not yourself which takes faith.

He is a friend who is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. When the rubber hits the road will you accept him as Lord and Saviour of your life and believe that he is the way, truth and the life for you today? God Bless you. Mark.
