Is The Bible The Most Popular Book Published?

Author : Mark Crossley   Top Author

Christian Articles Resource Cross The bible is the most popular, powerful and precious book ever written, more than David Beckham or Sir Alex Ferguson’s autobiography (I am not a glory supporter by supporting Manchester United by the way).

In Timothy these words say “All scripture is God breathed and useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteous so the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work”.

Every product has instructions and the bible is our instructions as Christians for the lifetime we are here on earth and eternity. If you are a non-believer Romans 17 says “Consequently faith comes from hearing the message and the message is heard through the word of Christ”.

In John it follows by saying “But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God and that by believing you may have life in his name” To the believer comes joy, peace, guidance, healing, defence against spiritual attack from the enemy, power and cleansing.

As believers we hear God speaks through the bible. We need a ‘solitary place’ to hear God speak to us and that requires time by reading the bible regularly which is part of our daily walk.

We ask God to speak to us through the bible, maybe a particular issue you are facing, a dilemma perhaps, and then read the passage asking yourself What does it say? What does it mean? How does it apply to me?

I am very busy at times, who isn’t these days, but I am never too busy to read the bible as this is the guidance for my life now and in the future. I do this along with prayer and attending church which is embodied in my weekly diary.

We procrastinate too much in society so the most popular book of all time is just left on yourself, unread by those who really need to hear the truth in their lives today and they maybe to embarrassed to read it or afraid of what their mates will say.

Its your life, not theirs so do what your heart tells you so do you agree the bible is the most popular book ever written?. Think about it.
